Product details
The Prime II Haptic edition merges industrial-grade flex sensors (measuring two joints per finger) with high-performance IMUs to deliver 11-Degrees of Freedom (11-DoF) finger tracking. You get detailed finger spread, joint bending, overstretch detection, and smooth tracking thanks to sensor fusion + drift correction.
Haptic Feedback & Real Touch Sensations
Each finger is equipped with a programmable LRA (Linear Resonant Actuator) module. This allows finely tuned vibrations and feedback depending on what you touch/hold in VR—textures, buttons, object collisions etc. The feedback system is highly customizable via Manus Dashboard/driver, with options for signal strength, frequency, resonance etc.
Power, Latency & Workflow Efficiency
-
Runtime: Around 5 hours continuous use per battery. Batteries are hot-swappable and gloves reconnect immediately after swap without recalibration downtime.
-
Latency: Very low latency (< 5 ms) so hand motion and feedback feels responsive in real-time.
-
Signal rate / sampling: ~ 90 Hz for finger/IMU data.
Build, Comfort & Hygiene
-
Gloves are made with high-gauge, antibacterial textile (polyester / sports polyester + spandex) fabric; sensors & electronics are removable so the glove textile can be washed.
-
Weight per glove: approximately 60 grams.
-
Universal mounting system included: allows you to mount third-party tracking hardware (e.g. Vive trackers, OptiTrack, Vicon, etc.) using supplied adapters. Useful for full hand or whole body tracking setups.
Software & Integration
-
Requires Manus Core (license) for full data streaming and use. Glove data is compatible with Unity, Unreal Engine, MotionBuilder etc via plugins.
-
Calibration is quick: ~ 45 seconds using three simple gestures. Multi-user calibration supported (useful in environments with multiple performers).
Use Cases & Who It’s For
-
VR content creators, animators, and studios needing detailed hand motion capture.
-
Training simulations (medical, industrial, safety training) where touch feedback enhances realism.
-
Educational / research setups exploring haptics, robotics, human-computer interaction.
-
VR arcades / immersive experience venues where users interact with props or virtual objects via hand gestures.
PRIME II HAPTIC: REAL WORLD INTERACTIONS FOR VIRTUAL WORLD EXPERIENCES
The Manus Prime II Haptic gloves are next-gen in cutting-edge haptic feedback technology. The sense of physical touch is not easily replicated, with the Prime II Haptic, precision is paramount to deliver intuitive and natural interactions with low latency between user and virtual hands. Whether holding digital objects, feeling textures, pushing buttons or pulling handles inside virtual experiences, the gloves provide a snug and comfortable fit to ensure delicate vibrations are felt across hands and fingers, with the hyper-fine feedback loop from motor control to haptics providing a powerful presence in VR.
Prime II Haptic significantly reduces cost and time for teams collaborating on VR projects in motion capture, robotics, prototyping, educational VR, virtual training, and more–or take gaming experiences to a whole new level of play for VR Arcade games.

Tracking
To achieve positional tracking of the Manus Gloves, Manus relies on the tracking solutions of other 3rd party systems, such as Xsens and Vive Tracking. Any tracking solution that gives the location of the hand can be used to provide positional trakcing. The Manus glove is tested with OptiTrack, Vicon, Xsens, PhaseSpace and StreamVR tracking.
Hand Mount
The Manus Hand Mount allows for the HTC VIVE Tracker to be mounted to the back of the hand for accurate positional tracking with the SteamVR Tracking system.
