XMG ULTRA 17 –
BASICALLY ROCKET SCIENCE
Brute gaming performance with no ifs or buts: As an uncompromising desktop replacement laptop, the XMG ULTRA 17 combines the unconditional top performance of Intel’s 11th core generation of desktop processors with NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 3080 specially developed for this device class. These chips, designed in the special MXM plug-in card format, work faster than anything else that is used in the mobile sector. Do you need the ruthless extreme performance of a high-end desktop PC without being tied to your desk? Then the portable XMG ULTRA 17 is the tailor-made solution for your requirements. Up to 128 GB DDR4 RAM, four M.2 slots for fast PCI Express SSDs and an outstanding variety of connections result in outstanding features, even apart from the core components.
Extreme focus on performance:
Intel desktop processors
With Intel’s 11th core generation (Rocket Lake) desktop processors, the XMG ULTRA 17 keeps all mobile CPUs at a distance. The new top model Core i9-11900K offers 8 cores, 16 threads and works with the full TDP of 125 watts. The processor thus develops an irrepressible performance on a high-end desktop PC level. This is made possible by a mainboard with a well-equipped Intel Z590 Express chipset, the current flagship for Socket 1200 systems. Whether playing and streaming at the same time or massive multitasking workloads – the XMG ULTRA 17 offers nothing less than the maximum possible.
GeForce maxed out:
RTX 30 series without limit
The XMG ULTRA 17 integrates the most powerful NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards up to the RTX 3080 with a whopping 16 GB of memory and groundbreaking ray tracing capabilities. However, this GPU moves to a plugged-in circuit board instead of being permanently soldered. Thanks to the special design and the optimally coordinated cooling system, it puts regular notebook solutions in the shade: While even the most high-performance laptop GPUs from NVIDIA have to be content with a maximum TGP of 150 watts, the ULTRA does a lot more – with a TGP of up to 165 watts and the first graphics card in the mobile area that is already connected via a full 16 PCI Express 4.0 lanes.
